W edding a Su rp rise Another surprise wedding to Wal folks was announced Tuesday by Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Harrison when they let it be known that their son, Car lyle, had been married to Miss Alice Palmer in Yakima, Wash., last Sun day. Miss Palmer is a graduate of Mon- i mouth normal school and Pacific Un iversity. She has taught school for the (last three years, at one time being intermediate teacher in the Cascade Locks schools, Mr. Harrivin is employed by the state in the fish hatcheries at Bonne ville. He is a graduate of Cascade Locks high school. The young couple will make their home here following a short honeymoon trip. Birthday Surprise Party Thursday evening, June 14, Mrs. Wilbur Flasley was given a suqirise birthday party at the home of her ] parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Mac- . Kinnon. The party was given by out- of-town relatives and friends. The (si evening was spent in dancing and at a late hour luncheon was served. Those present were Mr. and M rs.1 Frank Flasley, Mr. and Mrs. John Butler, Orin MacKinnon, Maurice MacKinnon, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis In man, all of Stevenson, Wash.
