The canal will lx nearly 1000 feet in length and the locks will be 76 feet w-ide and ( kiss through walls of soldi rock at the powerhouse site. The powerhouse will be 550 feet in length and 300 feet wide. It will oc cupy the space in Bradford slough hzetwern the island and the mainland on the Oregon side of the river. Concrete for the|xmerhouse sub structure, the locks and the canal will he furnished by the governiner.t. The contract for the superstructure, or the powerhouse proper, will be let at a later date.
