Mrs. Elizabeth E. Smith was in
Hood Fjiver Tuesday morning on
| a short business trip.

Mrs. Vanstrom is in Portland visit­
ing her son and daughter over the
weekend.
AT PORTLAND PRICES
A number of ladies met at the
home of Mrs. Chas. Haggblom on the
afternoon of the 7th for a surprise
party in honor of her birthday. The
ladies present were: Mrs. Charles
Rosenback, Mrs. Wm. Sundsten, Mrs
' Chas. Olin. Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. E.
I Grandstrom, Mrs. Anna Haggblom,
Mrs. Chamberlain, Mrs. Hatton,
Marie Nelson, Mrs. Lester Sprangue,
Mrs. Susie Woodward, Helen Rosen­
back, Eileen and Eleanor Sprague.
Robert Douville and Jack Douville
were up to Wadum Lake for several
days. They are the first to go up there
this spring.
Residents of the Bonneville Dam area are fast learn­

fords, and they are telling their neighbors that our
