HUNDBEDS MARVEL
AT NEW VICTROLA
J. G. VOGT
Hundreds of local folk since Satur
day have been marveling at the new
Orthophonic Victor machine being dem
onstrated at the Kresse Drug com
pany's store. A little gvoop gathered
around the new Instrument last Sat
urday and Mr. Kresse played various
selections for them. Boon the word
had spread to town and valley and
scores were gathering in the store for
concerts. The new Orthophonic is a
wonder instrument. One bears the
real voice of the singer or the harmony
of an orchestra, when it reproduces
music. It is a complete non-electrical
reproduction of the entire range of
audible sound.
The prenentation of the new machine
Is as great a revolution almost as was
that years ago when the first talking
machine was offered tlie public. W>r-
merty piano music, when reproduced
on the talking machine was not HStlB
factory. The new Orthophonic, bow-
ever, cauaee one to think that he is
actually listening to the artist, The
new machine reproduces the base tones
very distinctly. Ip will, it is declared,
bring a revival of the industry.
