Ore., mother of Editor Mereese. who
has been visiting at the latter’s home,
returned home Saturday. Mr. Me-
reaae took her to PvKlMd via. the
| Columbia highway and will return
with his wife and children, who have
been making an extended visit at the
Mereese home 1« Forest Grove.
Mrs. R. J. Bates and son, Richard,
of Portland, will arrive abortly for
an aU summer's visit at Bates Bros.’

Much enthusiasm has been aroused
here over the big program to be put
on by the White Salmon valley com
munity chorus at the Jewett farm at
8 p. ty. Friday. Bingen is dolling up
for the event to be staged there under
auspices of the Camas Prairie and
vicinity pioneers and are getting the
big Baker A Coe warehouse in shape
for the ball to be given on this occa
sion. Remember the date, June 12,
Pioneer day- Indian operetta, "From
the Yellowstone," (a truly wonderful!
pageant. Tickets are going like but
