Governor Can’t Restore License

Relatives of p. Shallenburg, of Port-
Relatives of P. Shallenburg, of Port­
land, Friday asked Governor Pierce
for clemency for Mr. Shallenburg,
whose driver's. license was revoked
for one year.
While on hie way to Hood River
Mr.- 8hallenburg*s automobile collided
with another machine. A small flask
Of liquor was found tn his automobile.
He was arrested and lined <200. hie
license automatically being revoked.
He alleged the liquor was for a sick
friend.
Governor Pierce said he was power­
less to restore the license.
