Stamm. The law of the fire was re­
peated, "Burn, Fire, Burn” sung and
the “Ode to the Fire” was recited.
After this followed the awarding of
honors to those who had earned them,
some of the girls telling how they had
earned theirs. All the firemakers,
with the e two other girls who were to
become fireuiakers
firemakers that evening, sang
the “Star Spangled Banner." Mig­
wam, Joyce Nye, and "Nawlssa, Ed-
etha Hartwig, recited their poem, a
firemaker’s requirement, and Migwam
gave an excellent account of the life
of Frances Willard. After these re­
quirements had been given Migwam
and Nawtssa were initiated as fire­
makers. Then WJnona received the
rank of torchbearer. She has earned,
thia rank both as guide and hand
craftsman torch bearer. Migwam then
sang "Lay me to Sleep.” The fire ex­
tinguishing ceremony followed and
the girls left the circle singing “Sun
