ROSE SHELLEY, PIONEER, PASSES Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Shel ev, pioneer, who died the preceding Tuesday at her home in Portland, were held at the graveside, idlewilde ceme metery, Thuradav, Rev. J. L. Hersh ner officiating. "Mrs. Shelley, aged 77, was a native of Wurtemberg. Germany. She came to America, settling in Penn sylvania, with her parents in 1854. Af ter a residence of 12 years in Pennsyl vania, where her parents died, Mrs. Shelley moved to Michigan. There she was married to Joseph Fletcher. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher cam.1 to Uood River in 1KM, the former dying the fol lowing year. Mrs. Fletcher was mar ried to J. M. McCoy, who died in 18!W. His widow was married in 1902 to Ros well Shelley, who died in 1910. Mrs. S blley for 50 years had been a member of Presbyterian and Congre gational churches. For the past t.n years she had divided her ti-re be tween Portland and Carson, Wash. She is survived bv threj stepchildren, Mrs. Milton D. Odell, of Odell, and Hugh and Ralnh I).
