Minister Praises Pictures
Among those who have been offering
their praise for the recent pictures of
the New Electric theatre is Kev. 11. A.
MacDonald. After witnessing the pre
sentation of the film drama, "The War
of the Wild" at the popular new show
house last Thursday night Rev. Mac
Donald said :
"I have never seen better pictures of
animals. It was thrilling and instruc
tive. Messrs. Shay and Whitcomb are
putting on a high class lot of moving
pictures."
The courteous treatment of patrons
and the all evident endeavors to please
those who visit their shows have won
for the management of the New Elec
tric many friends.
"The Dollar Mark." A William A.
Brady five reel feature. Featuring
Hubert Warwick and l'auline Freder
icks. It was written by lieurge Urnad
hurst, as a companion play to "Hie
Man of the Hour."
Friday and Saturday
"The Champion." An Essanay two
reel comedy featuring Charles Chaplin.
It will drive away all cares and keep
you convulsed with laughter from start
to finish. "If you don't want to laugh,
don't go to see it, fur it is iinposnlile
not to laugh at this great comedian in
Ihis comedy. Dont fail to see Charles
Chaplin and his bull dug.
' Her Supreme sacrince. A rtaietu
two reel drama featuring Alice Joyce.
Sunday
"Killpd Auainst Orders." An Edi-
son three reel.speciul featuring Miriam
Nesbit and Kigelow cooper.
"The Taming of Kita." A Vita-

Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday and Thursday, June 2 and
3, the five reel feature, "Lola," will be
shown. Featuring Clara Kimball
Young. "There is a Divinity that
shapes our ends, rough hew them as wi
may." The truth of this fm i' i ex
emplified in the unfolding of the i brill
ing story of "l.ola." The Heiy uf
Lolu is one 'of the most return kalile
that has ever been put on the bitei n
and it has become a subject of wide
spread discussion and divergence cf
opinions. Was Lola really dead? Was
her father juslilied in his scientific ex
periments? Was l.ola to biame for the
inexplicable change in her character,
or was she but the victim of son.e in
scrutable fate? These are some of the
questions thht will be asked. W hatever
the anwfers may be, it will be univer
sally conceded that in the adoption of
Owen Davis' play, pictuiized by Jiin.es
Young, the favorite picture star, dura
Kimball Young, has found a vehicle
which enables her to give full vent to
her unique gift of econlional character
izations and at the same time purtrajs
a story of extraordinary interest.
