East Side Bond Offer Criticised
An advertisement appearing in the
issue of yesterday morning's News,
making an offer of $75 and accrued in
terest fur each $100 worth of bonds up
to $5000 par value of the bonds recently
delivered by the Kast Pork Irrigation
District to the stockholders of the East
Fork Irrigating Co., was severely crit
icised by C. R. Bone, president of the
District. Mr. Bone declares that such
an ofter will seriously affect bids of
bond buyers for the remaining portion
of the district issue, which was aver
tised last week.
The district bonds are . considered as
good as government bonds, having
13.000 acres of land in the beet portion
of the valley behind them.
"Holders of the bonds can borrow,
; at the, local banks, more than $75 per
hundred on the bonds as security,"
says Mr. Bone.
