feet from shallow water, what is ant
to be the scene? A sudden shifting
taken place, and one, far braver than
the rest, risks his life to save his com
rade. The rest form an excited group.

mission has received letters from a
large number of apple growers and
dealers containing suggestions for dis
play. "Hoxing the apples is the demand of
the buyers of today," wrote one man,
"and they insist on boxes, even when
it makes the fruit cost more. A short
time ago I received a barrel of fine
apples, which I offered in my store for
$2 for the barrel. 1 kept them for two
