DANGER IN DELAY
Kidney Diseases Are too Dangerous for
Hood River People to Neglect.
The great danger of kidney troubles
isjlhat they get firm hold before the
sulferer recognizes them. Ileulth is
gradually undermined. liuckache,
headache, nervousness, lameness, sore
ness, lumbago, urinary troubles, drop
sy, and Uright's disease, follow as the
kidneys get worse. lion t neglect
your kidneys. Help the kidneys with
the reliable and safe remedy, Doan's
Kidney Tills, which has cured people
right here in Hood River.
William isoornian, 4K hlierman hi.,
Hood Kiver, Oregon, says: "Since
publicly endorsing Doan's Kidney Tills
in September TJU7, i have taken them
olf and on and they have never failed
to give me prompt relief. At one time
my back was quite lame and I could
not stoop or lift with any freedoms I
also had a great deal of trouble from
the kidney secretions. Doan's Kidney
Tills relieve these difficulties and I was
thus convinced of their merits. "

Fair Association (lets No Quorum.
It was impossible to conduct any
business at the meeting of the Hood
Kiver Apple Tair Association Saturday
afternoon, because of the fact that an
insullicient number of the members
were present for a quorum, liecause
of a lack of interest in the local apple
fair, the old members of the Hoard of
Directors expressed a desire to be re
lieved from the duties of their ollice by
the election of a new directorate.
Several of the members of the organi
zation present expressed the sentiment
that they deemed it advisable to cease
the holding of an annual apple fair for
the next few years. Still, others
thought that Hood Kiver should con
tinue this line of publicity as much as
possible.
At present the Tair association has
insullicient funds to proceed with the
buildint! proposed and begun at the
corner of Cascade avenue and Second
street. Many believe that this build
ing should be constructed, having
basement for exhibit purposes and a
large auditorium hall on the tiqi Hour.

Something You Should Know
About Substitution
If you wanted to buy oak lumber and the man delivered
yellow pine, vou would know the difference.
If you wanted to buy silk and they sent you calico, you
would have no trouble in seeing the substitution.
It is not k) easy, however, with medicine. A great many
medicines look alike and taste alike, P.UT THEY DON'T ACT
ALIKE. Just think thisover the next time you want medi
cines. Remember that at our store you can absolutely rely on
every drug we sell. The difference between buying medicines
and merchandise Is the difference between knowledge and be
lief. You know the one but you liuve to believe in the other.
You will be absolutely safe when you put your belief in ns.
