Fourth Street Between Oak and Stale
center of Oregon s wilds fur a thite
month' visit to the seem of In r charm
ing wedding, the Dreamw.iKI Farm
folk rejoiced, for it mevit that the
Christmas festivities were to he graced
with one of the favorites of the
countryside.
"Yet Mrs. McCall had no sooner
settled in her old home than Dream
wold people were thrown in a slate of
great excitement. She had hcen fol
lowed from Oiegon hy a (treat bird of
wondrous mien and proportions, the
like of which had never before been
seen upon the estate. He was dis
covered the day after the arrival of tlie
young couple, perched upon one of the
Lells of the Dream wold chimes in the
great gray tower which overlooks the
sea, and ne Das since mane ins home in
the chimes.
"At first the dwellers about took the
big bird to be one of Oregon's moun
tain eagles, but his long legs and
longer bill quickley dispelled this ill
usion. Neither Mr. nor Mrs. McCall
seemed to be at all disturbed hy the
bird's presence in the East.
"Yesterday morning the great w ing
ed stranger as he emerged from his
towered ntst was seen to be carrying a
white bundle in his bill. With it he
Hew straight to his perch on the window
cornice, where he remained, anxiously
swinging his precious bundle, until his
plaintive cries for admittance so ap
pealed to Dr. George Washburn, of
Newbury street, who happened to be
visiting with the McCalls, that he
threw open the lattice along about sun
set and the bird eagerly Hew to tne
snowy couch and depositing his gift
with a stately obeisance flew out of the
window, and heading dlUi west made
fast time for his Oregon home, lie
had hardly disappeared ir.to the setting
sun when the dctor's cheery voice was
overheard proclaiming 'A boy and nine
pounds of him. 0
"Last night the chimes were rireing
at Dreamwold, the groin .us weie
ablaze and in the big barn hall, where
one year ago the farm folk bade 'Miss
Dorothy dodspecd to her new Western
home, the countryside were 'hoeing it
down' in honor of the youngest college
athlete who has thus far come to
Dream wold. "
Mr. and Mrs. McCall, who have
bought a large place near liend, will
make Oregon their home.
CHURCH FOLKS
Despite the inclemency of the
weather two hundred and thirty some
odd sat down to the banquet of the
liivcrside Congregational church last
Friday evening in the Odd Fellows hall
and did full justice to a menu which
surpassed all previous efforts ot the
women s society After the invocation
by Dr. E L. House and a song by the
girls who ucted as waitresses, and tlie
dinner, reports ot the various depart
ments were read. A budget of $-100
for home expenses tins been success
fully tnet. The Women's Society ac
cumulated $420 this year. '1 he Sunday
School is Kustaining its highest aver
age in both attendance and offerings.
The trustees lack only a little over
$30110 to complete the building of tlu
new church. Rev. Harris showed plans
of the basement and main floor of the
new building together with a colored
sketch of the windows on the stereoii-
tieon.
ttev. W. A. Schwiirlev, of Ashland.
gave a brief address followed by a sub
scription campaign which added 11,020
to the building tuud.
J. II. Jeffrey and Dr.
were elected trustees
Messrs. Truman Butler
Ihompson. Messrs A. C Buck and
0. K. Castner were elected deacons.
Mrs. A. C. Buck was chosen to till the
vacancy in the board of Deaconesses
caused by the removal of Mrs. Treiber.
Other officers were re-elected.
By unanimous vote the pastor's sal
ary was raised to ?1 (00 for 1SU2. After
voting their thanks to the ladies an j
members of Miss McLaren's class and
the others who contributed so largely
tothe pleasure of the occasion, the
assemblage broke up for another yt-ar

About Indigestion And its Relief
That Should Interest You.
Although Indigestion and Dysnensia
are so prevalent, most people do not
thoroughly understand their cause and
cure. I here is no reason why most
people should not eat anything they
lesire it they will only chew it care
fully and thoroughly. Many actually
slarve themselves into sickness through
tear or eating every good-looking.
good-smelling, anu good tasting food,
because it does not agree with them.
The best thing to do is to lit vouself
to digest any good food.
We believe we can relieve Dispensia.
We are so confident of this that we
guarantee and promise to supply the
medicine free of all cost to every one
who will use it. who is not perfectly
satisfied with the results which it pro
duces. We exact no promises, and nut
no one under any obligation whatever.
Surely, nothing could be fairer. We
are located right here and our reputa
tion thould be sufficient assurance of
the genuineness of our offer.
We want every one troubled with In
digestion or Dyspepbia in any form to
come to our sture and buy a box of
Kexall Dyspepsia 1 ablets, lake them
home and give them a reasonable trial,
according to directions. Then, if not
satisfied, come to us and get your
money back. They are very pleasant
to take; they aid to sooth the irritated
stomach, to strengthen and invigorate
the digestive organs, and to promote a
healthy and natural bowel action, thus
leading to perfect and healthy dices-
tion and assimilation.
