miles ot good road form the city In
the top ot the Davidson Hill reports
that be is meet in with success and
has already received a large sum to
ward deraying the expense of build
ing it. It Is expected to oommenoe
work on the road soon and much in
terest is being taken in it Building
this piece of good road is expeoted fo
serve as an objeot lesson and a starter
for other sections of the valley aud
It will undobtedly do much toward
stimulating antive work in good road
construction.

Interstate Fair a Surress
O. R. Castner who was selected to
judge the fruit display at the Spokane
Interstate Fair returned borne from
there Saturday morning and and says
that the fair was a big saeoess. Great
crowds were in attendance and the
fruit exhibits were large and excel
lent. Wenatobee received most of
the prizes on apples.
