Goble, which was owned by II. F.
Davidson and others burned early
Sunday morning entailing a loss to
the company of $15,01X1. Kite thou
sand dollars of this mount It covered
by insurance. The company was for
tunate In saving 700,000 teet of lum
ber which was piled in tbe yard and
wbicb wat bat reoently moved away
from the mill. It is thought that tbe
boilers and engine of the plant may
not be seriously injured by tbe Ore
but until closer examination can be
made this cannot be determined.
The plant bad reoently been put In
fine working condition. Mr. David
ton went to Goble Monday to visit tbe

tion has as yet failed to determine

Grants Pass earried oS the honors
at tbe Medford tair but she bad

forgot tbat tbe legislature provided
for a Josephine and Jackson county
fair and net only ignored Josephine
county but Jackson oounty a well and
made it a Medford atthir. No invi
tations were sent out to exhibitors
elsewhere and no premium lists were
