Tbe company is shipping over Ave oars of lumber a dsy and is aveiaging between 70,000 and 80.U0 feet. This inoludes various grades and varietiet of lumber, including ties. For con venience in shipping and handling material tbe plant is admirably situ ated and reduce tbe cort of menufac ture very materially. Tbe company has its own water supply ready for an emergency in case of fire and is right In line with everything that is pro gi'assiva in the lumber business. This oompaoy also owns a line mill site at tbe mouth of tbe White Salmon River where its big log boom is situ ated and oonld at any time .t chose erect mill there. Tbe Menominee Company employs in tbe neighbor hood ot 70 men and is no small factor to the business men of this city as its frosperlty means considerable to hem. Like other industries about Hood River tbe company baa not been able to get men enough recently to work their mill and lumber camp to tbe best advantage and last week were short ten bands.
