Hoi man. E. M. Holman will continue with his bicycling repairing. G. I). Woodworth proprietor of the Keystone ranch has ordered 25.PHH boxos to use in the shipping of his cherry crop this season. The boxes are inanufactued in California, and are the finest ever seen in the city. Mr. Woodworth is agent for them and it will pay cherry growers to see him. Dolittlo, who has been con nected for tlvo years with tho Idaho Industrial institute at Weiscr, Idaho. as memlier of the faculty and secreta ry and treasurer of the institution, is in Hood Hirer, tho guest of E. I. Calking of Frankton. I he Idaho Industrial institute was founded by Rev. E. A. Paddock, who is a cousin of Mr. Calkins. Mr.Dolittlo expressed himsolf as delighed with the valley. Kev. Ralph Gillam began a series of meetings at the M. E. church last Sunday, which are lielug well attend ed. Mr. Gillam is an unusually strong man in the evangelistic field and his wide acquaintance of men enables him to present such truths as men desire to know. The meeting promises to i-c the best Hood River ever had. No one should miss an opportunity thus affordled. Great results are already obtained. E. L. Smith left Tuesady for Port land, where ho will meet with the ex ecutive committee of the Development league mid arrange a program for the April meeting. Mr. Siiuth will also attend to some work connected with tho state board of horticulture. The semi-aifnual meet ing of the state board of horticulture takes place April 10, when a set of regulations w ill bo provided for the county fruit inspect ors, provided for by the recent session of the legislature. R. Field of White Salmon has traded ten acres of his land at White Salmon and two lots in Hood River to II. M. Abbott for his store building on the heights; consideration &1700. Handsaker and wife who con ducted a very successful series of meetings at the Valley Christian church recently, closed another, even a better one at J lie Danes Sunday evening.
