One day last week, while Mr. E. C.
Rogers was driving down the ateep
bill below Autone Wise's place with a
load of wood, tbe brake of his wagon
gave way and the heavily loaded wag
on was forced upon the horses. Both
liorses fell and were pushed along on
the ground for wime distance before
Mr. Rogers could turn out to one.side
and stop the wagon. The neek yoke
fortunately did not break, or the horses
would have been killed, and Mr. Rog
