A telegram received here yesterday piorning hrgught the sad news that AlJjert, son of J. W. Wallace, had been killed in a railroad collision the day be fore, on the Great Northern road, about thirty miles west of -Spokane, and that the body was burned to a crisp. W. li. Perry, his brother-in-law, went up on the passenger train last night and will .bring the remains here for interment. No particulars of the accident ceuld he learned, hut as the deceased was a fire man, it is supposed that it wa. a head end collision and that he was caught under the engine. Albert was an am bitious young man, of stead habits, and was rapidly earning promotion on his merits. His terrible death is a (double shock to his relatives, especially ills father, whose favorite he was, and to his many friends here. Mr. Perry will arrive here with the remains prob ably Monday morning, but as yet no date can be iriven for the funeral. Stolen Property.
