Why Wail So Loinr I
KlilTOK (U,A lKlt:
Wo all had such a good time nt the
Smith school house, District 2, on
Thanksgiving day, that we must tell
you about it. Joseph Purser inado us
some good tables, and Mrs. P.lythe,
Mrs. Poorman, Mr. Calkins, Mrs.
Kills, Mrs. Davenport, Mrs. Howe,
Mr. Locke, Mrs. Perry, Mrs. Potter,
Mr. Kigby and Mrs. Warren heaped
those table with the first fruits of tho
land in a manner that any neighbor
hood might well be proud of. All were
invited, and of course a goodly number
of merry faces were gathered around tho
festal board. While we certainly did
full justice to tho feast at tho time, we
shall not attempt to do justice to it
with tho pen. It is to be hoped that
when the next Thanksgiving day
comes around tho sanio unselfish spirit
will prevail. Z.
