It is the policy, not the personnel, of the ad ministration, that has been condemn ed." Our northern neighbor, Washington, has gone republican both on uationn' and state ticket In this state theretu I 11s are yet incomplete, but it is probable all four republican electors, are elected. Pierce is. far-ahead, of his ticket and there is a bare'possibility of his election. The tidal wave also struck the territor ies. Utah and Xew Mexico going democratic and Oklahoma electing a demoratic legislature. Russell (dem ocrat) has been re-elected governor of Massachusetts by a handsome major ity. The democratic majority in Miss ouri, which has been claimed in this lection as a doubtful state, will reach 45,000, and the majority in Texas 160, 000. The majority in New York will probably be 45,000. Yesterdays dispatches con firm pre vious indications, but while Nebraska is taken from Weaver, Weaver cap tures North Dakota. Without Ohio which Is claimed to be doubtful, but which will cast its vote for Cleveland. ue nas zsy .electoral votes with it, 312. Arizona went democratic, Cleveland's majority in-Illinois will be 20,000; in Iudiaua 11,000, Hogg, is elected gov cruor of Texas, where the fight was be tween two wings of the democracy in camorma the result is close, but the democrats have the legislature in joint ballot. In Washington the vote between Carrol, (dem and Doolittle (rep) is close with 50,000 votes counted me latter Having a majority of 223. It is probable this majority will reach 500. The balance of the ticket is sale ly republican. It looks very much to us as though Nathan Pierce was going to crowd some one of the Harrison electors very closely.
