abeth II of England appealed
on this Christmas Day for men
to be truly ambitious for what
is good and honorable.
The queen, expecting a baby
early in the new year, did not
appear on television for her
Christmas message. It was
taped in advance for radio
broadcast.

West Berliners
Rush Over Wall
BERLIN (UPI) - The Com
munist wall gave way today to
lens of thousands ot West Ber
liners rushing to spend their
first Christmas in three years
with relatives in the hovict sec
tor of the divided city.
West Berlin officials said 45,
139 persons had passed through
the wall at ground level by 11
a.m. As many as 15,000 more
were believed to have mado
the trip by elevated train.
It was by far the largest
single day's turnout since the
Communists agreed earlier this
