.John Steven Waldorf, 21, hoped
for clemency Tuesday when he
told a traffic judge he spent
more than nine hours hitchhik
ing 'no miles to answer a charge
of speeding.
But It didn't do him any
good. He was sentenced to three
days in jail when he couldn't
pay a $25 fine for driving 85
miles an hour in a 65 mph
zone.
