Santa in a Flash By Walter Eckhart
Outline Santa's silhouette on a piece of shirt
cardboard and cut it out. Take him into a dark
ened room along with a flashlight. Point the light
at a wall and hold Santa in front of the beam.
Inside the circle of light, Santa's silhouette will
appear, growing larger or smaller depending on
his nearness to the light.
For another trick, try holding Santa still and
moving the beam up and down behind him. It's
easy to imagine you are seeing a live Santa com
ing to deliver presents on Christmas Eve!
A Mistletoe Mobil By Ragna Eakil
To make this unusual Christmas decoration,
you will need one of those latticework plastic
pint boxes that berries come in. You will also
need Borne narrow Christmas ribbon, eight small
Christmas balls, and a sprig of mistletoe.
Turn the box over and tie two 10-inch lengths
of ribbon to the four corners of the bottom so
that they crisscross to make a handle. The mo
bile may be hung from this.
Now tie the balls to places around the rim of
the box so that they dangle gaily from uneven
lengths of ribbon. Then tie the mistletoe right
in the center.
Hang your mobile from a doorway, a chan
delier, or some other high spot, and see how many
unsuspecting people "get caught" underneath!
