driven by David John Jackson,
19, of 2530 Corona Ave., collid
ed with a vehicle driven by Gay

stock St., at the intersection of
Sixth and Grape Streets yester
day, Medford police reported.
Jackson was cited for having
no driver's license, and Dutton
was cited for disobeying a traf
fic signal, officers said.
Permits Issued The Medford
building department has issued
permits to Dr. Ralph Thompson
to remodel his residence at
2940 Hillcrest Drive at an esti
mated cost of $3,000, and to in
stall a furnace at an approxi
mate cost ot $1,500. A permit
also was issued to Earl Jackson
to erect a residence at 441 Mur
phy Road at an anticipated cost
of $14,000.

Men Are Fined Two men
were fined $50 each in Jackson
County District Court Thursday
when they pleaded guilty to
charges of illegal possession of
wild animal, deer. Fined were
Odell Hayes Jr. and Virgil Lee
Hayes, both of Trail.
Christinas Party The annual
Christmas party of the National
Office Management Association,
will be held Saturday, Dec. 14,
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Wilson Slater, 3405 Jacksonville

Permits Issued The Medford
building department issued per
mits Thursday to Park Terrace
Apartments, 755 Stevens St., to
install some downspouts at an
estimated cost of $1,000, and
to William Cowan to repair a
foundation under a residence at
927 Reddy Ave. at an approxi
mate cost of $1,175.
Grange Meeting Sams Val
ley Grange will meet at 8 p.m.
Saturday in the local Grange
hall. A benefit dinner will be
served at the hall from 12:30 to
4 p.m. Sunday, to which the pub
lic is invited. Proceeds will help
defray Grange expenses.
Post Office Hours The Gold
Hill Post Office will be open all
day Saturday, Dec. 15, from
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
MRS. CARRVE CHRISTIAN
Mrs. Carrye Christian, Eagle
Point, died Thursday in a local
hospital. Funeral arrangements
are entrusted to Siskiyou Fu
neral Service directors of the
Chapel in the Trees Mortuary.
WILLIAM J. CAMERON
William John Cameron, 76, of
Huener Lane, Jacksonville, who
died Thursday, will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday in Conger-Mor
ris downtown chapel. Ray Cham-
berlin win olliciate. Committal
will be in the Central Point
Cemetery.
Mr. Cameron was born Dec.
8, 1887, in Isanti County, Minn.,
and had lived in Southern Ore
gon for 26 years. He was mar
ried April 22, 1914, in Miles
City, Mont., to Hazel Keller,
who survives.
Other survivors include three
sons, Robert Cameron, Central
Point, Ore.; Donald Cameron,
Jacksonville, Ore.; and Denzol
Cameron, Saugus, Calif.; three
daughters, Mrs. Herman cost,
Central Point; Mrs. John Mor-
ava, Yolo, Calif. ; and M r s.
Louis Kropp, Central Point;
three sisters, Mrs. George Bar
clay, Huntington Park, Calif.;
Mrs. Pearle Couillard, Hunting-
Ion Park; and Mrs. A. N. Jasp
er son, Huntington Park; 16
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.

CHARLES R. BUCKMASTER
Funeral services for Charles
Robert (Bob) Buckmaster, 36,
of 801 N. Central Ave., who
died Wednesday, will be held at
3 p.m. Monday in Conger-Morris
downtown chapel. The Rev.
George R. V. Bolster of St.
Mark's Episcopal Church will
officiate. Committal will be in
Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Buckmaster was born
Feb. 4, 1927, in Cranford, N. J.,
and had lived almost all his life
in Southern Oregon. He had
been employed as a grocery
clerk.
Survivors include his mother,
Mrs. Pauline Noel, Medford;
two brothers, James Buckmas
ter and Harry E. Buckmaster,
both of Medford; and a sister.

HAROLD BURK
Harold Burk, 72, of 111 King
St., died Thursday evening in a
local hospital. Funeral arrange
ments will be announced by
Perl Funeral Home.

Pass, he was married to Viola
Sharp, who survives.

Medford police Thursday aft
ernoon arrested a 38-year- old;
man on a charge of driving i
while under the influence' of
drugs. He was lodged in Jack
son County jail.
Officers said James Wallace
Spradling, llllVi N. Riverside
Ave., was the operator of a car
which collided with two vehicles
and struck a sign post and a
tree within about 10 minutes
shortly after S o'clock.
According to reports, Sprad-
ling's car collided with a ve
hicle operated by Eston Bruce
Humphrey, 3482 Ross Lane,
about 5:02 p.m. on Central Ave
nue between Sixth and Main
Streets.
Spradling's car also struck a
city-owned sign post and a tree
on property of the U.S. National
Bank in the same accident, of
ficers said. .
Spradling failed to stop at the
scene of the accident, for which
he was later issued a citation,
and at 5:12 p.m. his vehicle col
lided with a car driven by Max
well Paul Guiley, 220 Sunrise
Ave. That accident occurred at
Fourth Street and Central Ave
nue. Officers who took Spradling
into custody said there were no
injuries received in any of the
mishaps.
