Half the fun of THE SKIING LIFE
( which is growing by leaps and bounds from California
to the Carolinas) is not so much in knowing how to
schuss down a slope as in dressing for it. And
what a fresh' palette of ski togs is being un
veiled this season. Parkas, teamed with
bright stretch pants, are longer, give weight
less warmth, and sport bold patterns, often in
splash colors. Exciting new after-ski fashions
head in two directions this year: sporty or
ultra-feminine with chic long skirts.
Witness here the trimmest jacketings to
keep out the cold, and a pair of after-ski
ensembles lovely enough to light their
own fires. By ROSALYN ABREVAYA
