Three Killed in CAP Plane Crash
LINDENHURST, N. Y. (UPI)
- A Civil Air Patrol (CAP)
plane carrying three persons
crashed in flames into two
houses and three cars Saturday
shortly after taking off from a
small airfield.
Those aboard the plane were
killed. Four persons on the
ground, including a 12-year-old
boy, were injured.
The dead were not immediate
ly identified.
The injured were Stanley
Kota, 36, critical condition with
head and rib injuries; his son,
Stephen, 12, lacerations of the
head and multiple leg injuries;
Virgil Krist, 35, serious condi
tion with multiple leg fractures;
his wife, Jean, lacerations of
the head.
