' Vortex of violent action is on the gridiron, of course. But in the "Home of
the Black Tornado" there is much peripheral turbulence. Bandsmen tootle, ma
jorettes twist, rally girls lead acrobatically accompanied cheers, student partisans
scream. Frenzied fans unleash a steady stream of "words full of sound and fury
signifying something!"
As Medford Senior High's football varsity nears the close of another vigorous
campaign, the Mail Tribune presents this pictorial resume' of climactic moments in
a successful season. Cartooned Tornado, lettering and class numerals on Westside
grandstand are a familiar sight to Medford townspeople.
