Miss Koblik Earns
Credits for College
Sharon L. Koblik of Medford
High School was one of the 108
students receiving college cred
its upon entering the University
of Oregon as freshmen this
fall.
The credits were earned by
the students under the Oregon
High School Advanced Place
ment Program. Miss Koblik
earned 27 advanced placement
credits. Top honors were taken
by John E. Juilfs, a Sout Eu
gene High School graduate, who
earned 47, the only total in ex
cess of Miss Koblik's record.
South Eugene, however, leads
among high schools in the num
ber of graduates receiving ad
vanced placement credits. There
were 30 graduates receiving col
lege credits at entrance. Nor"i
Eugene High School was close
behind with 22 students.
The total of college credits
granted freshmen at entrance
was 802. Last year only 49 en
. tcring university freshmen re
ceived advanced placement cred
it Ti.ey represented 16 high
schools compared to the 27 this
year. The figures, the university
pointed out, illustrate the growth
which the program has made
during the year.
