FROZEN FOODS FARING WELL. Consumers spent $2,675,000 for frozen foods last year, an
increase of 11 over 1961, reports Printers' Ink. Of last year's total, $713,000 was spent for
poultry, SB67.OO0 for prepared specialties, $(112,000 for juices and drinks, $:i:i2,000 for vegetables,
$148,000 for seafoods, $144,000 for meats and $50,000 for fruits.

J. C. Hamaker, general manager of the firm, indicated that the new models may all be oper
ated for approximately the same as medium priced automobiles and have been designed to .
provide economical flying (or a variety of family, business and utility requirements.
An open house will be held by Rogue Flying Service this Saturday, November 2 at Medford
Municipal Airport for anyone interested in aviation and the new Cessna line. In addition lo
the pictured model the line includes Model ISO and the Skyhawk.
WASHINGTON (UPI) - It
has been costing American tax
payers an extra $68,000 a year
because the Marine Corps and
the Army disagree on having
flaps on hip pockets of uni
forms. The General Accounting Of
fice, which made the estimate
Wednesday in a report to Con
gress, said the Army finally
had backed down and future
tropical work khaki trousers
would have flaps as the Ma
rines wanted.

ACCEPTS RESIGNATION
WASHINGTON (UPI) - Pres
ident Kennedy has accepted the
resignation of two members of
the Civil Rights Commission
and its staff director.
The White House announced
Wednesday that those resigning
were Commissioners Spottswood
W. Robinson III and Robert G.
Sotrey, and staff Director Berl
I. Bernhard. Robinson has been
named a federal judge for tha
District of Columbia.
