their recent marriage in First Presbyterian Church. The bride
is the former Miss Sharyn Elaine Uric. The bride's gown was of
hand-clipped Chantilly lace over taffeta and the bouffant skirt
was picked up in front over a tiered ruffle of lace and tulle and
held with a lace rose. A queen's crown of pearls and rhinestoncs
held her veil and she carried a bouquet of white roses.

Miss Sharyn Elaine Urie be
came the bride of Thomas Wil
liam Wyatt III October 18 in
one of the valley's larger autumn
weddings. The ceremony was
read at seven-thirty o'clock in
the evening in First Presbyter
ian church.
Dr. D. Kirkland West officiat
ed for the double ring rites wit
nessed by some 200 guests.
The bride is a daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Robert John Urie,
330 Hillhouse Street, and the
bridegroom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas William Wyatt II,
630 South Holly street.
Bride Wears Lace
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a full length
gown of hand-clipped Chantilly
lace over taffeta with basque
bodice, long sleeves and Sabrina
neckline embroidered with
pearls and iridescent sequins.
Her bouffant skirt was picked
up in the front over a tiered
ruffle of lace and tulle. A
queen's crown of pearls and
rhinestone held her bouffant
hand-rolled silk illusion veil and
her bouquet was of white roses.
Miss Marilyn Barker was the
honor attendant and the Misses
Linda Wyatt, a sister of the
bridegroom, and Sandra Nelson,
Portland, a cousin of the bride,
were bridesmaids.
Lighting the candles were
Miss Barbara Urie, a sister of
the bride and Edward Wyatt, a
brother of the bridegroom.
Gowns of Satin
' The matching frocks worn by
the bride's attendants were of
emerald green brocaded satin.
The street length bell-shaped
skirts were accented with bows
at the back waistlines and their
headbands were of green velvet.
They carried bouquets of bronze
chrysanthemums.
Miss Barbara Urie was
dressed in a champagne colored
organdy frock and her wristlet
was of matching colored carna
tions. Stanley A. Newnham, Gold
Hill, a cousin of the bridegroom,
served as best man and ushers
were Larry Wyatt, a brother of
the bridegroom; James free
man, Sams Valley; and Gary
Niedermeyer and Robert Walk
er.
The church was decorated
with white gladioli and chrysan
themums.
Mrs. A. L. Clay was soloist
and Mrs. Norman Thames was
organist.
Reception at Church
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Urie wore a metallic knit
dress with antique gold acces
sories and the bridegroom's
mother chose a green wool
sheath dress with bone colo:
accessories. Both had orchid
corsages, Mrs. Urie s gold ana
Mrs. Wyatt's green.
The reception which followed
was given by the bride's parents
in the Fellowship hall of the
church.
Pouring coffee was Mrs. Rob
ert L. Butler and presiding at
the punch bowl was Miss Pam
ela Hosick. Mrs. Dale A. Mon
roe and Mrs. Henry Myhre cut
and served the wedding cake.
Miss Roma Sims had charge
of the guest book and Miss
Marta Luther was at the gift
table. Miss Linda Grimes served
the bridegroom's cake.
The bride's table was decor
ated with an epergne and candle
.arrangement of white pompon
chrysanthemums and miniature
cold carnations. On the serving
table was a wedding candolier
of white tapers and white Mow
ers. The couple made their wed
ding trip to Diamond Lake Re-sort.
They are living at 222 South
Ivy street.
Grandparents Attend
Among the guests at the wed
ding and reception were three
couples of grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert T. Urie, Ash
land, naternal grandparents of
the bride; Mr. and Mrs. wnus
Allen, Tacoma, Wash., her ma
ternal grandparents and Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Foose, Med'
ford, maternal grandparents of
the bridegroom.
Out-of-town guests included
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thorburn,
Portland, relatives of the bride;
Ernest Wold and Darrell Wold,
Bandon; Mr. and Mrs. William
E. Nelson and family, Portland,
uncle and aunt of the bride;
Mrs. Nita Nelson, and Miss
Helen Bailey, both Portland,
Miss Christcl Nicrobisch, a stu
dent at Southern Oregon college
from Berlin, Germany, and Miss
Peggy Riechers, a classmate
The bride is a 1963 Medtora
High school graduate and is
employed as a secretary for
Darling, Inc., realtors, and we
bridegroom was graduated in
1962 from Bandon High school.
He is employed by Dave Bech
tel, Inc., Talent, as a truck driv
er and warehouseman.
The wedding rehearsal dinner
was given by the bride's parents
in their home.
Pre-wedding events included
a shower given by Miss Barker,
the honor, attendant and her
mother, Mrs. Ray Barker. Mis
cellaneous gifts were given the
bride-elect. A kitchen and recipe
shower was given by Mrs. Jack
A. Edson.

The bridegroom is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. R. Ronald De

HAPPY CAMP - The home
of the bride here was the setting
for the marriage of Darlene
Hegler and Cornelius Attebury
both of Happy Camp, on the
evening of October 11. The cere
mony was read by the Rev.
Helen Loucks.
The bride given in marriage
by her father wore a pink sheath
with matching headpiece and
white accessories. Attending the
young couple were Miss Donna
Halstcad, and Tom Hegler, a
brother of the bride, both of
Happy Camp.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hegler,
Happy Camp. Mrs. Hegler wore
a green nylon sheath dress with
white accessories.
The young couple are at home
in Happy Camp where the bride
groom is employed.

Nancy M. Kuhl the maid of
honor. Both are of Honolulu.
Their kelly green crepe (rocks
were made in empire style and
their flowers were white
orchids.

Wheeler Air. Force base, Ha
waii was best man and Lt. Leo
Petit, Springfield, Mass., was
usher.
The reception, given by the
bride's parents, was held in the
Japanese Teahouse at the Pearl
Harbor Naval Base. The couple
made their wedding trip to
Kauai, Hawaii.
They will live at Patrick Air
Force Base. Cocoa Beach, Fla.,

ment, where they plan to re
main for the duration of his
assignment in the Ah" Force.
The bride is a graduate of
Oregon State university and the

nursing. She is a member of
Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She
has been employed at Straub
Clinic, in Honolulu.
The bridegroom, a University
of Oregon dental school gradu
ate, has been stationed at Osan,
Korea. He is affiliated with
Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
His family has lived in Med
ford for some SO years.

Miss Ritchie, a graduate of

lon, Pa., was graduated from
Pennsylvania Hospital, Phila
delphia, Pa., and is a registered
nurse, aho spent three years
as assistant head nurse at Pon
tine General Hospital, Pontiac,
Mich. Miss Ritchie attended
Teachers College, Columbia
University, New York, and is
continuing her studies toward a
bachelor degree in nursing at
the University ot Washington,
Seattle.
The Rev. Mr. Marsh received
his bachelor of arts degree from
Seattle Pacific College in Wash
ington and B.D. degree from
Asbury Theological Seminary,
Wilmore, Ky. He was ordained
in the rree Methodist Church
in July, 1963. The minister is
preparing for overseas mission
ary service by serving his first
pastorate at Courtcnay Free
Methodist Church, Courtcnay,
B. C. Canada.
On occasion, the Rev. Mr.
Mash has spoken at the Free
Methodist Church of Medford
while visiting his parents here.
The wedding will be held at
Seattle during the holidays.

Plans Bazaar Saturday
EAGLE POINT-Plans for the
Eagle Point community ba
zaar, to be held Saturday, No
vember 2 from 12 to 9 p.m.
at the Grange hall will be com
pleted early this week.
Women of the Home Econom
ics Club of the Eagle Point
Grange, who are sponsoring the
bazaar are busily completing
articles for the fancy work ta
ble, making breads, cakes and
other delicacies for the cooked
food sale was well as getting
food prepared for the refresh
ment booth.
A number of organizations
and individuals from the com
munity have told of plans for
bazaar booths. The local garden
clubs, extension units and a
sorority chapter have announc
ed their plans and several indi
viduals will display hobbies.
One group Is making doll
clothes; another will have greet
ing cards and recipe cards; one
will have a booth with poman
ders, while a rummage sale it
being held by another. One
woman from the White City
area, who has a greenhouse,
will feature African Violets and
winter plants such as Christmas
cactus.
During the afternoon and eve
ning, Bob Cull of the Music
Center will furnish music.
There is still time for an Indi
vidual or club to take part in
this community activity if they
so desire, and arrangements
