Events Scheduled
For Rousselot in
Medford Monday
John H. Rousselot, former
congressmen and now western
states district governor of the
John Birch Society, will speak
in Medford at the Hoover Ele
mentary school ' on Siskiyou
blvd. Monday niRht.
His lecture, on the subject
"Disarmament Blueprint for
Surrender." will start at 8 p.m.
There will be an admission
charge.
Rousselot will arrive earlier
in the day, in time for a press
conference at 3 p.m. in unit 45
of Cedar lodge, 518 North Ri
verside ave.
This will be followed by a
television appearance at 5 p.m.
on KMED-TV, during which he
will be interviewed by Dr. Ed
win R. Durno of Medford, who
served in congress the same
two years that Rousselot held
office.
No Host Dinner
At 6 p.m., a no host dinner
will be held at North's Chuck
Wagon, 1016 North Riverside
ave. J. Verne Shangle, coordi
nator of arrangements for
Roussclot's visit, invited busi
nessmen and civic and political
leaders to attend.
At the 8 p.m. lecture, Rous
.selot will c.plain the disarma
ment plans of both the United
States and the Soviet Union and
elucidate on his belief that im
plementation of either, both of
which call for the creation of a
: United Nations peace force and
"an end to national armies,
rwould lead In the loss of the
-United States' national sover
eignty. : Rousselot charges that the UN
-has become "an effective in
"strument of Soviet foreign pol
icy and hence cannot be counted
on to protect us against commu
Tnist military aggression."

forces to the UN," he contends.
