developed a computer which can
forecast the weather as well as
or better than a human.
In its predictions for 18 dif
ferent days, the computer scor
ed 78 per cent right on today's
iorccasl, 89 per cent on tonight's
and 83 per cent on tomorrow's.
On the same days the U.S.
Woathnr hurpau had the same
score on the first two categories
and a lesser one, 67, in me
third.

Over 'Waste' Land
NEW YORK (UPI) - Since
1J35, Brooklyn, N.Y., with a
population of 3 million, has had
only one golf course, but it re
cently added a second built
on garbage.
The new Marine Park course,
according to Golf Digest maga
zine, is built on land reclaimed
by use of the city's waste de
posited on the links lite over
the past 30 years. The price of
the course's 270 acres isn't gar
bage, though. It's valued at S10
million.
