Top: Enny's first hairdo for fashion model
Tillie Tizzani swoops up at the crown and
gracefully turns over and upward at the
sides. Her hat reflects the new little-boy
influence in vicufia-colored stitched vel
vet with a visor brim by Miss Carnegie.
Center: With his trusty brush, Enny re
leases the swooped-up crown and rounds out
a fetching coiffure with a hint of bang and
sides that curve away from the jaw line.
Tillie wears a Garbo-type calf hat with a
stitched floppy brim designed by Elizabeth.
Bottom: Wielding a subtle change, Enny
parts the hair in the middle, then curves
the sides toward each jawbone for a soft,
madonnalike look. The chapeau is colored
sage green with a sloping high crown, a
jaunty bow, and snap brim. Miss Carnegie.

The amebican chapeau, an overdressed,
self-conscious affair for years, has pulled
in its brim, lowered its crown, and is set
tling beautifully over the new, straighter
looking hairdos.
What has caused this quiet revolution?
Hair stylists and milliners, who often ap
pear to be warring factions, finally have
put their heads together and come up with
smart hairdos and hats that any chic
woman can wear together!
Expert stylist Enny of Italy, who cre
ated the coiffures on this page from one
basic set, says the overblown, teased look
is out. It is being replaced by the nonex
aggerated shape that follows the natural
curve of the face for a younger, sculp
tured look.
Enny insists that hair stylists do not
object to hats if they are selected to go
with facial contours and the particular
hairdo. To prove his point, he challenges
women readers: next time you enter your
beauty salon, wear a favorite hat (one of
the new silhouettes, preferably) and walk
out with it atop any of these sleek, man
ageable hairdos.
