three-year, $1.5 million project
to create the 99,455-aere Board-
man space age industrial park
was finalized Tuesday al
most.

Agreement Siied
The Slate Land Board Tues
day signed an acreeincnt with
the Navy to purchase 4B.0O0
acres in the west half of the
Navy's bombing range foiS580,
000. The state will pay off the
purchase over the next 10 years.
The state already has leased
Up property to Boeing. The
lease covers 80 years, aid will
produce $4.8 million in rental
fees. The land is located near
the Columbia river in north
central Oregon.
Before Boeing starts paying
annual rental fees of $60,000,
however, their attorneys must
review all the documents to
satisfy themselves the state
holds clear title to the land:

Samuel II. Malliboaf, head of
the state's Planning and Devel
opment department, said he
does not expect Boeing to dis
cover any flaws.
Boeing is expected to use the
area for testing of rockets and
oliier space - age equipment,
although the company has not
announced specific plans.
Monday, the state paid the
Army Engineers $17,500 for ti
tle to waterfront land along the
Columbia river.
Earlier agreement with the
engineers set aside part of the
waterfront area for recreation
al use, and part for industrial
use.

Dr. Florian J. Shasky, Med
ford urologist, was elected al
ternate delegate to the Ameri
can Medical association during
the flilth annual session of the
Oregon Medical association in
Portland recently.
At the same meeting, Dr.
James 11. Seacat, a Salem gen
eral surgeon, was elected pres
ident of the association, suc
ceeding Dr. Daniel K. Billmey
er, Oregon City.

Eugene was elected vice pres
ident, and Dr. Ernest T. Liv
ingstone, Pcrtliind, secretary-treasurer.

day on hunting violation
charges.
Two 18-year-old hoys, David
Stephen Crocker, 3355 Jackson
ville highway, Medford, and
Steavcn James Wyatt, 408 Soulh
Fourth St., Jacksonville, were
arrested on charges of hunting
with a prohibited method. They
were accused of shooting a deer
with aid from their car lights.
David Raymond Baker, 43, of
634 Ferry rd.. Grants Pass, was
charged with failure to tag a
deer properly.
Ilene Rose Clark, 39, of 41101
Rodwood ave., Grants Pans, was
charged with illegal posession of
deer.
Sylvanus Jess Clark, 45, of
4804 Redwood ave., Grants Pass
also was charged with illegal
possession of a deer.
Orville Eugene lloglon, .16, of
8112 Garfield St., Medford, was
charged with failure to lag a
deer properly.
Edward William Kruger, 10,
of 8401 River Banks rd., Grants
Pass, was charged with failure
to tag a deer properly.
Dunne Ellsworth McDougal,
23, of 1716M, North Riverside
ave., Medford, was charged with
illegal posession of a deer.
Fred Wallace Smith, 31, of
4804 Redwood ave.. Grants Pass,
was charged Willi illegal posses
sion of a game animal.
