"denounce the radical right and
insist on a campaign ticket free
of association with the John
Birch Society."
The delegates to the Western
States Democratic Conference
then reaffirmed strong support
for President John F. Kennedy
and his current programs and
pledged themselves to working
for a Democratic sweep o( Ihe
west in 1904.
The conference had been con
ditioned to the resolutions b
two days of constant hammer
ing by key party leaders that
the "radical right" would be the
key issue of the I'.M campaign.
However, only about HO leaders
attended the resolutions session.

Dr. Paul Walker, chairman of
the sixth annual meeting for the
Jackson county unit of the
American Cancer society, has
announced that more than ftfio
volunteers have been invited to
the Sept. 2li dinner.

be emceed by Paul Selby, will
