An event of Saturday, Septem
ber 14, was the wedding of Miss
Ronda Grace Martin to Clar
ence Eugene Sorensen. The
bride is a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Lester L. Martin, 841 Stew
art avenue, Medford, and Mr.
Sorensen's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Christian J. Sorensen, Port
land. The wedding was held at the
First Methodist church with Dr.
George G. Roseberry officiat
ing. The double ring rites were
held at eight o'clock in the
evening.
Given in marriage by her la
ther, the bride wore a floor
length gown of white Chantilly
lace over taffeta fashioned with
fitted bodice, Sabrina neckline

A number of friends and rela
tives have arrived in Medford
this week end to attend the wed
ding of Miss Karlene Kay Wil-
termood and Larry n.ennew
Wade scheduled for Monday,
September 23 at 7:30 p.m., in
First Christian church, 1900
Crater Lake avenue.
First to arrive were Mr. and
Mrs. Lester Cash, Ventura,
Calif., and Mrs. Esther Fugitt,
Modesto, Calif. The women are
aunts of the bride-elect.
Today Dr. and Mrs. Dallcn
.Jones, and Mr. and Mrs. Thom
as Havens, were to arrive from
Roseburg.

honored at two pre - wedding i
events.
Mrs. Delbcrt Harvey, Miss
Charlcne Francis and Mrs.
Brian Watson entertained Sep
tember 13 in Mrs. Harvey's
home, 2975 Oakridge drive.
About 20 guests attended. Mrs.
Harvey will be Miss Wilter
mood's matron of honor. Miss
Francis, her bridesmaid and
Mrs. Watson, bridesmatron.
Mrs. Aetna Carr and Mrs.
Michael Beck were hostesses
September 18 in the Carr home,
124 Highland drive, when 23
guests were entertained. The
rooms were decorated with ar
rangements of dahlias and zin
nias, and white bells were hung
in the home's of archways.
At both events Miss Wiltcr
mood was presented miscell
aneous gifts for her new home.

Mrs. Babb was hostess for the
rehearsal dinner given Septem
ber 19 in Ping's Gardens restau
rant. Fifteen members of the

satin dress with bell skirt and
her veil, which matched her
dress, was held by a single rose.
She carried a bouquet of bronze
and gold spider chrysanthe
mums. Andrea Marie Martin, niece of
the bride, was flower girl. She
wore a bronze colored satin
dress and veil and carried a
basket of bronze and gold spider
chrysanthemums.

Michael Martin, nephew of the
bride, was ring bearer.
Baskets of gold and bronze
chrysanthemums decorated the
church.
For her daughter's wedding
and reception which followed at
the church, Mrs. Martin wore
a turquoise sheath dress with
white accessories. Mrs. soren
sen chose a chartreuse sheath
dress with beige accessories.
Their corsages were of pink
baby roses.
For traveling on their wed
ding trip to the San Francisco
area, the new Mrs. Sorensen
wore a green mohair sheath
dress and matching plaid coat
with black accessories, lhey arc
making their home at 219 North
Oakdale avenue. The bride at
tended Medford schools and is
employed as a bookkeeper for
Gray's Furniture Barn, Inc. Mr.
Sorensen attended Portland
schools and was graduated from
the University of Oregon where
he was affiliated with Phi Kap
pa Sigma fraternity. He is em
ployed as area representative
for the load division ol Bur
roughs Corporation.

The rites were read at 2
o'clock in the afternoon in
Ashland Trinity Episcopal
church. The Rev. Duane Al
vord, Southern Oregon college
chaplain and rector of the
church, officiated.
The ceremony was preceded j
at 11 a.m., by a wedding cu
charist attended by members
of both families. The Rev. Mr.
Alvord conducted the ceremony.
Mr. Rogers escorted his
daughter to the altar and gave
her in marriage.
Wears Satin
The bridal gown of satin was
designed wilh an empire mid
riff waistline and the bodice
was embroidered with pearls
and sequins. The skirt was bell
shaped and her elbow length
i veil was held from a pillbox
; hat trimmed with a front bow
i and a circlet of pearls. She car
ried her own white prayer book, !
a gift from her mother at her j

carnations and a cascade of
