Dear Klmmy: My friends
do not like me. I have not
, played with them all sum
t mer. What should I do?
Me
' Dear Me: Try to make friends
with them this winter and then
NEXT summer you had better
' play with them.
Dear Kimmy: I have a boy
friend who lives in Portland.
I haven't known him real long,
but I'm pretty sure he likes
me. Should I write to him
first, or wait for a letter?
Confused
Dear Confused: Wait for a
letter.
Dear Kimmy: I like, this
girl, hut how do I get her
attention?
Hopeless
Dear Hopeless: You'll get it
if she wants to give it to you.
Dear Kimmy: I am a 13
year old girl and my parents
won't let me go to the show
' with my girl friends. Do you
think (hat's fair?
Unfair
Dear Unfair: Your parents
know best. Remember, SOME
DAY everyone will have the
( wonderful privilege of being
- parents themselves. They will
want their children to behave
8 liiem, so NOW you had better
mind your parents as you would
want YOUR children to mind
you.
Dear Kimmy: I have a sis
' (cr who is always bossing me.
L Do you know what I should
: dO?
Bossed One
Dear Bossed One: Give her
, a taste of her OWN medicine.
' Dear Kimmy: When a boy
takes a girl to a show and
i she doesn't know whether he's
going to pay her way, should
she take her money out and
gel ready while in the line or
should she wait and see if
1 he's going to pay. Should she
ask him what he wants to do?
Strawberry
, Dear Strawberry: Have faith,
but take money just in case.
Dear Kimmy: I use to have
a nice complexion not now.
I don't touch sweets and make
up. I wash my face with med
: icated preparations, but I
1 break out. 1 drink plenty of
1 water each day.
I I'm only 11. What will I
i look like when I'm sixteen?
I'm so embarrassed. Should
' I go to a doctor? Please help
me Kimmy.
Broken Out
Dear Broken Out: You are
entering an age of many prob
lems and this is a Big one. Ev
erything you are doing is right.
In a short while you may be all
cleared up. Keep up what you
are doing!
Dear Kimmy: My wife and
I and two of our children dress
Immaculately at all times. But
one teen-age son insists on
tattered jeans, old shoes, shirt
tail out and no hose. How
can we induce him to dress
more becomingly?
Perplexed Papa
Dear Perplexed Papa: More
becoming to whom? Himself or
the outside world? He's just
growing up. Papa. He will grow
out of it and just wait to see
what comes next!
Dear Kimmy: Two months
ago my mother dressed in
very good taste, but now she
doesp't care what she looks
tike. She wears sloppy and
dirty clothes. She doesn't
brush her "cigarette-stained"
teeth, and smokes like they
arc going out of style. She
drinks beer, wine, and etc.
Eats peanuts and crackers
loaded with butter, cheese,
etc. She used to have a good
figure and now she is fat.
Whenever I tell her she is
getting fat, my dad tells me
to shut-up. '
I'm so very much embar
rassed of her, especially when
the other people see her
this way. Please help me
Kimmv. I'm so EMBAR
RASSED. Embarrassed
Dear Embarrassed: As pain
ful as it is, your embarrass
ment isn't the most important
thing here. Your mother must
be terribly unhappy. Can't YOU
help HER?
