day night the young people
of the United, States are "ob
sessed by sex."
Graham told 45,706 persons
who turned out for the fourth
meeting of his current 25-day
crusade here that the obses
sion stems from a desire for
security and that is why 60
per cent of the young peo
ple go steady.
"America's, worship of the
goddess of sex is a daily obla
tion made through all the
media of mass communica
tions, invading every phase
of life with the enticements
of bosoms and legs and rock-
and-roll sensuality," he said.
"Often teen-agers return to
the insecurity which prompts
a girl to 'land a man' what
ever the cost and prompts a
man to make a conquest to
report back to his group."

Monday night when a car
struck him as he was cross
ing State Highway 139 near
here, authorities said.
California Highway Patrol
officers said the car was
driven by Lynn Herchel Cole,
48, Baldwin Park, Calif. They
said the glare from the sunset
apparently blinded Cole, pre
venting him from seeing the
youth on his bicycle.
Cole was taken to Klamath
Valley hospital in Klamath
Falls to be treated for shock.
