served her nintieth birthday
July 0. A tea was given in
her honor at the home of Mrs.
Richard W. Pedley, 1616 East
Main street. About 40 guests
called on the honored guest.
The tea table was centered
with a decorated cake and an
arrangement of pink carna
tions and white chrysanthe
mums. Serving during t h e
afternoon were Mrs. Vcrn
Shangle, Mn. Earl Miller,
Mrs. Thomas W. McFaddcn
Mrs. Ray Lenox. Mrs. N. F.
Crowell, and Mrs. Herman
Ekcrson.
Mrs. Gannaway wore a rose
knit dress with a white or
chid corsage, a gift from her
son, Paul Gannaway, Port
land, who could not be pre
sent for the occasion, but who
with Mrs. Gannaway, will
visit his mother later In the
week.
Mrs. Gannaway was born
in Penora, Iowa and has lived
in the Medford area for 54
years. She was married to W.
C. Gannaway In 1899, and
they celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary in 1959,
the year prior to his death.

out of town were in Medford
this week end to attend the
marriage rites July 12 of Miss
Judith Ayres and Thomas Jay
Morris in St. Mark's Episcopal
church.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Ayres Jr.,
12 North Groveland avenue.
The bridegroom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Morris,
240 Sunrise avenue.
From San Bernardino,
Calif., were Mrs. Mina Austin,
grandmother of the bride;
Mrs. Blossom Van Dorfy, and
Randy, the bride's aunt and
cousin, and Mrs. Thomas
Reed, a cousin of the bride,
and her children, Kevin and
Kabot.
Other relatives of the bride
from out of town were Mr.
and Mrs. Elwin Austin and
children, Joey and Linda,
Crescent City, Calif.; and Mr.
and Mrs. Clyde Austin, Weed,
Calif., a great aunt and uncle.

from Bnkersficld, Calif.

about 50 guests. The wedding
was held at the New Age
church, Eagle Point, July 9,
at 8 o'clock. -
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lofland,
Route 1, Box 54, Central
Point, and the bridegroom Is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.
Robert Redhead, 241 We3t
Vilas road, Central Point.
The bride, given in mar
riage by her parents, wore a
brocaded white taffeta suit
with while accessories. Her
brocaded pillbox hat held a
short veil and she carried
white orchids and carnations
on a white Bible.
Mrs. Robert Manasco, her
matron of honor and sister,
wore a pink and white bro
caded cotton dress with whi'e
accessories and a pillbox hat.
Her corsage was of pink rose
buds. Lynn Redhead, brother of
the bridegroom, was best
man.
Wedding music was played
by Mrs. Genevieve McCorkle
at the organ and Mrs. D. F.
Millard at the piano. Mr. Mil
lard was soloist.
At the reception in the ban
quet hall, the cake was cut
first by the bride and bnd-v
groom and serving was con
tinued by Mrs. Wayne Gal
lagher. Punch was served by
Miss Joyce Johnson, who also
had charge of the guest book.
Both the bride and bride
groom were graduated from
Crater High school. Mr. Red
head is a member of the
armed forces stationed at Ft.
Gordon, Ga., where the couple
will make their home, after a
short wedding trip to the
Oregon coast.
Among the out of town
guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Basil Robinson, Myrtle Creek,
an aunt and uncle of the
bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs.
A. P. Waterman, Vallejo,
Calif., grandparents of the
bride.

traveled to Neah Bay, Wash.,

held July 3 at First Methodist
church.,

officiated at the 8 o'clock eve-
lng rites attended by 150
relatives and friends. Mrs.
Gary Tippets was soloist and
Mrs. Leslie Boardman played
the organ wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length gown of Schiffli em
broidered organza over taf
feta. It was fashioned with
basque bodice, scoop neck
line and three-quarter length
sleeves. The full skirt was
bell shaped In front and two
self fabric bows In back ac
cented the chapel train. Her
bouffant veil of handrolled
silk illusion in elbow length
was held by a cap of silk
organza roses trimmed with
pearls. She carried a cascade
bouquet of pink and white
rosebuds.
Attended by Sisters
Mrs. Diane Johnston was
matron of honor for her sis
ter. Miss Janet Walker, an
other sister, was bridesmaid.
They wore lavender satin
brocaded frocks in afternoon
length and their short veils
were held by while velvet
circlets centered with laven
der satin brocaded roses. Mrs.
Johnston carried a cascade
bouquet of lavender and
while gladioli and Miss Walk
er's bouquet was of pink and
white gladioli.
Five year old Lesli Payant
was flower girl. Her frock
was of the same material as
the other attendants and she
carried a basket of pink
roses.
Dennis Lundgren served as
best man and groomsman was
Berry Scruggs. Seating the
guests were Douglas and
Gregory Elliot, cousins of the
bride. Ross Payant was ring

tions.

White, lavender and pink
gladioli decorated the church
for the wedding and white
satin bows marked the pew
ends. At the reception pink
candles and roses decorated
the tables.
Mrs. Burnath Morgan and
Mrs. Clinton Phelps cut and
served the wedding cake.
Mrs. David Peterson and Mrs.
Roy Sander poured punch.
The reception was under the
direction of the Woman's So
ciety of Christian Service of
the church.
The couple traveled to the
Oregon coast on their wed
ding trip, the bride wearing
for traveling a white Schiffli
embroidered cotton sheath
dress with pink trim, pink
mohair coat and pink and
wnne accessories. Her cor
sage was pink rosebuds. They
are making their home at
203 Elm street, Apartment 2.
The bride attended Med
ford High school and Robert
son School of Business. Mr.
Caldwell attended Medford
High school and Oregon Tech
nical institute in Klamath
Falls. He is employed by Dick
Knight company.
