with naptha soap, allowing
the soap to remain on the skin

avoid applying water, oily
ointments or alcoholic solu
tions. Calamine lotion relieves
the itching, but in severe cases
you should see a physician.

Insure Safe Car
Trip With Careful
Check Before Trip
If you are planning your
vacation trip to be by auto,
insure a safe and carefree
journey by giving you car
some special attention before
you start.
Ask your serviceman for an
extra-careful lubrication job,
including a check of the brakes
brakes, wheel bearings, shock
absorbers, fan belt, battery,
windshield-wiper blades; all
light bulbs, and horn. While
the car is on the rack, have
a look at the exhaust system
to insure that no carbon mon
oxide will leak into the car.
Check tires for wear and
signs of misalignment of front
end. Make sure they are prop
erly inflated. Have oil and oil
filter changed. Have other fil
ters checked and changed as
necessary. Check the cooling
system hoses for leaks and
signs of deterioration. Pick up
maps of your trip while at
the service station.
If you don't have seat belts
for all passengers, have them
installed. This is probably the
most important safety meas
sure you can take to protect
your family.
Give your car a thorough
cleaning, inside and out. Put
on a heavy coat of wax to
make removing bugs easier.
Make sure you have in your
car all the emergency equip
ment listed here.
Include plenty of litter bags
when you pack.

Be Taught Safety

simple rules as well as do's
and don'ts when they first
come aboard the family boat.
First and foremost, make
it a hard and fast rule that the
vounger children must wear
life preservers every second
