Ceremony Takes Place
Miss Carol Jane Oleson and
D""ald Gerald Knight were
married Saturday, June 22,
at eleven o'clock in the morn
ing at the First Christian
church of Oakland, Oakland,
Calif. The ceremony was per
formed by the Rev. Thorner
W. Toler.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George R. Ole
son of 201 North Keeneway
drive, Medford. The bride
groom's parents are Mrs. Lil
lian Knight, 2137 Springbrook
road, Medford, and Richard
Knight, Klamath Falls.
The bride wore a dress of
white lace and peau de soie
and carried a bouquet of white
carnations and roses. The
maid of honor was Miss Shar
on Ann O'bricn, Menlo Park,
Calif. She wore a dress of
pink chiffon and carried a
bouquet of pink carnations.
Best man was John Harrison
Rayner, also Menlo Pak.
The reception was held at
the home of Miss O'brien, col
lege roommate of the bride.
After a wedding trip along
the California coast the cou
ple will be at home at 200
Monte Vista avenue, Oakland
Calif.
Both the bride and bride-
groom attended Medford
schools. The bride has attend
ed the California College of
Arts and Crafts in Oakland
for the past two years work
ing toward a degree in art
education. She plans to con
tinue her school work. The
bridegroom will attend elec
tronics school at Treasure is
land, San Francisco. He is
with the U. S. Navy and is
a radarman second class.

riage of Miss Carol Joy Col
baugh, daughter of the Rev.
and Mrs. F. Wildon Colbaugh.

groom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. James Zeedar, Youngs-
ville. Pa.

tral Assembly of God church,
Springfield, Mo. Assisting was
the Rev. J. R. Ashcroft, presi
dent of Evangel college.

taffeta with basque bodice
trimmed with reembroidered
Venice lace. The bouffant
skirt was designed with pan
els and a short train. Her el
bow length veil was held by
a crown of pearls and crys
tals and she carried a white
Duchess rose on a white Bible.

Gowns of Green
All wore similar dresses of
nile green silk organza and
peau de soie. The long con
trolled belled skirts extended
from high empire waistlines
and the backs were designed
in a bustle effect. Each at
tendant carried a Duchess
Happiness rose.
Best man was Wayne Klem
ins, Chico, Calif. Ushers were
Keith Colbaugh, brother of
the bride, Dwight Colbaugh,
a cousin, and William Zan-
cuchio.
Mrs. Colbaugh wore a pink
silk shantung jacket dress
with bone accessories and
the bridegroom's mother was
dressed in a mint green suit.
Both wore ivory cymbidium
orchid corsages.
Miss Gwen Jones wag or
ganist, and the Rev. William
Adams, Olean, N.Y., sang.
Mrs. Lloyd Colbaugh, aunt of
the bride, also furnished
songs and Miss Jane DeLange,
violinist and Miss Connie
Bernel, cellist played ducts.
Debbie Colbaugh, a cousin
of the bride, and Philip Col
baugh, a brother, lighted the
candles.
The reception was held in
the Hogan room of the church.
Following their wedding
trip the couple is living at
1610 North Washington street,
Springfield, Mo.

80 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard A.
Moore, Star Route, Ashland,
are parents of the bride. Mr.
Scholer is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Scholer, 800 Liber
ty street.
The bride's ballerina length
frock of lace over white satin
was worn with a short veil
and she carried a bouquet
of pink and white carnations.
Her attendants. Miss Sandra
Hamilton, maid of honor, and
Mrs. Alyene Moses and Miss
Sandra Scholer, bridesmaids,
wore pastel short formal
gowns and orchid corsages.
Mr. Moore escorted his
daughter to the altar which
was banked with baskets of
pink and white garden flow
ers. The bridegroom's bro-
ther, Donald Scholer, served
as best man and his uncles,
Dean and David Dunson,
were the ushers.
Mrs. Colleen Lewis was the
vocal soloist for the service
accompanied by Mrs. Glenn
S. Taylor, who also played the
weaciing organ music.
Following the church cere
mony the bridegroom's par
ents were hosts for a reception
at their home on Liberty
street.
Mrs. Scholer was a member
of this year's Ashland Hiah
school graduating class and
her husband is a 11)62 AHS
graduate. He is employed by
Parsons Pine Products In
Ashland.
After a honeymoon at Lake
Tahoe and Reno they are at
nome in an apartment at 580
aiskiyou boulevard.

of the Etna 4-H club was win
ner of the 1963 Dress Revue
held recently in the new
Yreka High school gymnasi
um. Chosen alternate county
winner was Miss Jan Desoza,
Grenada.
Eighty-two girls from 15
4-H clubs modeled clothing
they had made the past year
as 4-H projects. Approximate
ly 150 parents and friends at
tended the revue.
As top winner. Miss Deppen '
will represent Siskiyou coun
ty In the State Dress Rcvuc at
Davis in August. This year for
the first time the dress revue
winner and alternate were
given cash awards presented
by the J. C. Penney company. 1

$15 to Miss Deppen and $10
to Miss Desoza was William 1
Hust, assistant manager of the
Yreka Penney's store.
Pint Awarded
Ten girls, including the two
top winners, won Simplicity
pins for outstanding work
manship and appearance of
the clothing modeled. Names
of the winners, other than
Miss Deppen and Miss Desoza,
will be announced and the
pins awarded on 4-H Achieve
ment day in November.
A white fence centered with
an archway and trellis en
twined with red roses, large
white baskets of mixed spring
flowers and pink lawn furni
ture decorated the stage for
the style show.
Judges were Mrs. Alice
Scarbrough, Mrs. Cleo Hunt
and Mrs. Jape Dyer, all ol
Shasta county.
Mistress of ceremonies was
Miss Kay Zediker of the Big
Springs 4-H club and commen
tators for the revue were Miss
Elizabeth Dudley, Etna, and
Miss Merrilee Morgan, Big
Springj, last year's county
winner and alternate, respec
tively. Pianists who played during
the revue were Miss Debbie
Sylva, Willow Creek; Miss
Milly Miller, Big Springs, and
Mi's Ronda Ellcr, Grenada.

and Mrs. Norman Shaw, Table
Rock, were adult cochairman
for the evening. Etna 4-H lead

try Church of Four Corners
of which her father is the
minister. The bride is a
daughter of the Rev. and Mrs.
Ernest E. Ralls, Saul Table
Rock road and the fUv. Mr.
Ralls performed the cere
mony. The bridegroom, now sta
tioned at the Oakland, Calif.,
Navy base, is a son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Roberts, May-
wood, Mo.
The double ring ceremony
was performed at 8 o'clock
in the evening.
The bride, given in mar
riage by her father, wore a
sheath styled floor length
gown of dacron organza over
taffeta with fitted bodice and
scoop neckline. The detach
able overskirt had controlled
fullness In a modified bell
shape and was fastened at
the front with a self-material
bow. A crown of seed pearls
held her fingertip veil. The
bride also wore a pin which
had belonged to her great-
grandmother and which was
pinned on her bridal gown by
her grandmother Mrs. Edith
Ross, who came from Para
mount, Calif., for the cere
mony. The bride s bouquet
was a white orchid with white
rosebuds which she carried on
a white Bible.

flower, Calif., a sister of the
bride was the honor attend
ant. Her sheath gown was of
blue silk organza with de
tachable overskirt and her
flowers were white gladioli.

Keener, Medford.

the Misses Linda and Joann
Sinclair, Bellflower, who
wore matching blue silk or
ganza sheath dresses with
white carnation wristlets.
Conrad Twedell, Ashland,
a brother-in-law of the bride,
served as best man and seat
ing the guests were Gary and
Joe Meade, Central Point.
Bryan Twedell, Ashland, a
nephew, escorted the bride s
mother and grandmother to
their pew.
Baskets of white gladioli
decorated the church and pew
ends were marked with blue
bows.
Three Sing
Mrs. Twedell, a sister, fur
nished the organ music and
solos were sung by J. W,
Nilscn, Fred DeVos and Mrs.
Robert Martin.
About 80 guests attended
the ceremony and the recep
tion given by the bride's par
ents in the church annex.
Mrs. Ellis Meade cut the cake
and Mrs. LeRoy Fellows pour
ed the punch. Marilyn Sin
clair, a niece of the brtne,
registered the guests, and
Anita Sinclair, another niece
had charge of gifts. Deborah
Twedell, a niece, distributed
bags of rice.
For the wedding and re
ception the bride's mother
wore a two-piece beige flow
ered brocade dress with pink
accessories and pink orchid.
The couple made their
wedding trip to California
and will live at 7979 McArth
ur boulevard, Apartment 10,
Oakland.
The bride attended Crater
High school and Prairie Bible
institute. The bridegroom at

schools.
