Retzer Replaces Corbin as Manager
Bob Retrcr will replace
Bob Corbin as district man
ager of the Lippert theaters
in southern Oregon and
northern California.
Retzer, who has been with
the company for eight years,
has been manager of the El
Rancho Drive-In theater in
San Francisco, for the past
2ls years.
He, with his wife, Pat, and
two daughters, Bobbie Lee
and Patsy Carol, will reside
at 1440 Ivy St. Miss Bobbie
Retzer will attend Southern
Oregon college this fall, and
Miss Patsy Carol Retzer will
be a senior at Medford High
school.

gressman Robert B. Duncan (D-Ore.) was
on hand recently to congratulate two grad
uates of the 71st Session of the FBI Na
tional academy at Washington, D.C. Both
graduates are from the Fourth District of
Oregon. Shown, left to right, are: Chief of
Police Clement Karel Hyer of Lebanon,
Ore.; Congressman Duncan and Lieut. Lyle
C. Perkins of Medford. Prior to the gradu
ation exercises, Congressman Duncan tour
ed the FBI Headquarters. Hyer and Perkins
were among 96 graduates this vear. The 12
week school is a complete course covering
every phase of law enforcement from sci
entific crime detection to police budgets.
Students are sent to the Academy on recom
mendation of officials from their local com
munities. Vice President Lyndon Johnson
made the graduation address this year. Di
plomas were presented by J. Edgar Hoover,
FBI director.

died Tuesday will be held at
1:30 p.m. Thursday at Perl
Funeral home. i

officiate. Interment will be
private.
Mrs. Crafford was born
May 20, 1892, in Mendon,
Mich., the daughter of Marcus
F. and Rose E. Buttle. She
moved to Medford 35 years
ago from Chicago, 111.
Until her recent retirement,
she had been an employee of
Milledge Convalescent home
for several years.
In 1912 in Chicago, she was
married to Roy L. Crafford,
who preceded her in death in
1943 at Hornbrook, Calif.
Survivors include one
brother, Leonard A. Tuttle,
Chicago, 111.; one half-sister.

Ashland - Elmer E. Hans
cam, 74, known to many peo
ple in the Talent-Ashland area
where he spent his boyhood,
died Monday morning while
fishing at Harbor. He was
owner of the Hanscam Shop
ping Center at Harbor.
Surviving are his widow
and six children. Mrs. Clyde
Caton of Ashland is a sister
and Joe Fader is one of his
nephews.
