MEET INFORMALLY Medford Chamber of Commerce
Member John Snider and Fibber, one of the mules owned
by George McUne of Jacksonville, met rather informally
last week at a chamber of commerce tourist committee
meeting. The group met at Jacksonville in honor of the
Peter Britt Music Festival scheduled for this summer.
Snider had announced to committee members they should
"ride a mule" to Jacksonville for the breakfast meeting,
nd if anything should happen to the mule, to "get off their
dead donkeys and walk." Sparked by anonymous group,
McUne brought his mule, Fibber, to the meeting so Snider
could personally make the acquaintance.
