Motion Sickness
Chicago -IUPD- A traveler's
state of mind can help bring
on motion sickness, reports
the American Medical Asso
ciation. Because of this, the AMA
recommends a nap or reading
a newspaper or magazine
once aboard a plane or train.
Other suggestions included
eat lightly before your de
parture and avoid excessive
alcoholic intake.
If you are reasonably
healthy, motion sickness, un
less prolonged on a long voy
age, probably won't do any
real damage, the AMA said,
and recovery is rapid once
the trip ends.
The AMA said many com
mercial products may help
forestall motion sickness and
that most are available with
out a prescription.
