by Father Lulay in the Chap

noted "The Role of Women."
the second explained the
"Means of Growth in Love;"
and the third was based on
"Peace and Joy, the Rewards
in Living the Role." Private
conferences were held in the 1
convent parlor after the con- j
fcrences. Benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament brought
the conferences to an end.
A tour throughout the en

Guest speakers have high
lighted recent American prob

Dunlevy visited the Seniors

government. Both the legis

to illustrate the functioning of
individual departments. Stu
dents were allowed time to
direct any questions they had
to the mayor.
Charles Crary. an active
member of the labor field for
many years, was guest of the
class Monday, April 1. Crary
put fortli the problem of find
ing jobs for both high school
and college graduates as the
underlying weakness in our
economy. The position that la
bor occupies, the rights this
position brings, and details
concerning the purpose of
strikes and boycotting were
included among his discussion
topics.
Representatives of the
Armed Forces spoke to Junior
and Senior boys recently.
Four representatives from the
various branches, headed by
Chief Hawkins of the Navy,
tlined various plans that
each branch of the service
offers. Time was left for a
question and answer period to
clear up any difficulties ine
boys had regarding their mil
itary obligation and ways of
serving.
The vigorous campaigns of
the various senior candidates
for Student Government Day

with Mrs. Nita Birdseye to
the Medford art center last
week. They went to see the
work of Jancll Lansing, a
student from southern Cali
fornia who is about our age.
We were interested to see her
work, and to see the various
kinds of material she used to
paint her pictures.
Mrs. George Flanagan will
be coming to our school for
two days each week. She will
help us in whatever we are
doing. Mrs. Flanagan has been
to many of the places we
study about, and has brought
back pictures.
We are looking forward to
the art show which the Med
ford grade schools will be
having soon. We are putting
the finishing touches on our
projects, which we hope to
send.
Our department chorus is
