Try and Stop Me
By BENNETT CERF
A PROFESSOR from the Harvard Business School was
telling hli fl-year-old ion the story of Cinderella. The
boy paid flattering attention particularly when his father
came to the part where
the pumpkin turns into a
golden coach. He inter
rupted only long enough
to ask, "Hey, Pop, did
Cinderella have to report
that as straight income,
or did they let her call it
a capital gain?"
The deer-hunting set still
recalls with pleasure Ed
Wynn'a routine when, just
before going out to stalk a.
moose or two, he caught
eight of himself In a full
length mirror, gasped in
horror, and exclaimed, 'Thank God, I'm out of season!"
The hard-pressed head of a small city police department de
cided that a few well-trained dogs would help him combat the
criminal element, and let it be known he was on the lookout for
qualified pooches and pups. One lady called up Immediately to
offer her dog. "He's just the kind of canine you'll need," she
enthused. "Yesterday alone he bit three children."
