meeting of the organization.
The session opened Saturday
and will continue through to
day. Miss Donna Copeland repre
sents the local group at the
council. Miss Barbara Kadin
is grand royal warder of the
grand council of Oregon, and
Miss Vicki Sue Webster and
Miss Donna Overturf were
there to participate in initia
tion ceremonies.
Six candidates were initia
ted into the local organization
during a recent meeting. They
are Sheryll and Carolynn
Stone, Hoseanne and Robin
Fitzsimmons, Mary Hapton

Colegio La Salle, and is re

Brown, whose marriage was a
recent event in San Jose,
Calif., are living at 1717 Main
street. Klamath Falls. The
bride, the former Miss Janet
Rae Kelly, is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Kelly,
Route 4, Box 399D, Mcdford.
The bridegroom, a student at
Oregon Technical institute, is
a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll
E. Brown. 2784 Griffin Creek
road, Mcdford.
The couple made their wed
ding trip to San Francisco and
Santa Cruz, Calif.
The 7 o'clock evening cere
mony was read March 15 by
the Rev. Winficld Blount in
the San Jose Westminster
Presbyterian church. Double
ring rites were used.
Miss Vcrna Adams, Bend,
was the bride's only attend-o-.t,
and Bruce Bray, Klamath
Falls, served as bridegroom.
Seating the guests was a
brother of the bridegroom,
David Brown.
Calla lilies and ferns decor
ated the church and the organ
music was played by Mrs. L.
T. Frasier.
Bride Wears Silk
Given in marriage by her

with lace trim at the waistline
and a matching shoulder
length veil. She carried a
French bouquet of white car
nations. The honor attendant's dress
was of blue and her acces
sories beige. Her matching
bouquet was of pink carna
tions.
The reception given by the
bride's parents, was held in
the home of the bride's aunt,
Mrs. T. P. Kelly in San Jose.

was a dental assistant in the
offices of Dr. Joseph W. Bur
ba and Dr. Eugene R. Cos

Mrs. Ira Phelps will pre
sent a lesson on better ways
to manage earnings at the
First Ward Relief society of
Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints Wednesday,
April 10.
The meeting will be held at
10 a.m. at the church, 648
South Ivy street.
In addition to the talk on
the wise use of resources,
there will be a sewing demon
stration on setting in sleeves
and putting on collars. Also
shown will be how to make
binders to hold at least 12
magazines.
All interested women are
welcome to attend. A nursery
will be provided and children
should take sack lunches. A
politick luncheon will be held
for the women.

On Convention
Are Presented
Yreka - Reports on the
Daughters of the American
Revolution state conference,
held recently in San Francis
co, were made at a meeting
of Siskiyou chapter last
Wednesday in the PP and L
building social room.
Hostesses were the regent,
Mrs. Henrietta Tcrwilliger,
who presided, Mrs. Anna Cal
lowary. Mrs. Clyde Turner
and Mrs. Larry Walters.
Three members attended
the state conference, includ
ing the regent, Mrs. Tcrwilli
ger, the vice regent, Mrs.
Alfred Crebbin and Mrs. L. L.
Lichens, who is state vice
chairman of civil defense.
Siskiyou was one of the
hostess chapters and furnish
ed the favors for the regent's
breakfast. The favors were
colored photos of Mt. Shasta
mounted on triangles of na
tive stone. The local chapter
won two awards, one for
membership increase and the
other for U. S. Flags distribu
ted. After the reports on the
convention, the regent read
an article on conservation. It
was followed by a collection
of "Pennies for Pines."
Mrs. Amy Derham, chap
lain, led the devotionals and
Mrs. Robert DeNurc led
singing. The president gener
al's message was read by Mrs.
Rosemond Westover.
Tile next meeting will be a
luncheon on April 30 honor

The ceremony was held
March 2.1 in the chapel at
Glasgow Air Force Base with
Chaplain John B. Johnson of

the two o'clock afternoon

The bride is a graduate of
Mcdford High school and at
tended Mcdford Beauty
school. Mr. Yager is an air
man second class and is serv
ing with the 91st Armament
and Electronics division at
Glasgow. They arc making
their home in Glasgow.
Trio Visits

of Milo academy and Jerry
Gardenia of La Sierra college,
visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Barnes last week. Another
guest of the Barneses was
Private Kurt Lofing. Private
Lofing and Mr. Gardenia will
return to Sacramento together.
