At Lewis, Clark
Portland - Summer session
will open June 17 at Lewis
and Clark college with courses
in both !jrad:iatc and under
graduate work to be offered
in 18 major fields. Courses
run for six or nine-week
periods.
Largest number of offerings
will be in the field of educa
tion. Two new courses ex
pected to be of interest to
teachers are work in the tech
niques of communication and
a workshop in programmed
instruction, both to be taught
by Dr. C. Douglas Babcoik,
chairman of the education de
partment. Dr. James Slauffer, profes
sor of biology, will conduct
two three-week workshops, on
June 17 to July 5 in earth
science and on July 8 to 26
in plants of the Pacific Northwest.
