Set on April 6
The annuHl circus of the Big
Pines district Boy Scouts of
America will be held April 6
in the Crater High school
football stadium at Central
Point.
"Scout's Adventure In the
lime Machine" is the theme
for the show which will In
clude seven acts centered
around the lime machine and
previous periods of history.
The circus is made up of
Scouts and Scout leaders in
this area witli no Imported
talent.
Ticket sales under the
chairmanship of Dean Sitz
man started March 4. Scouts
of the district will use fi
nances realized from the tick
et sales to purchase ennip-
mcnt for use in Scouting and
camping.
Cub packs. Scout troops
and explorer units have until
March -J2 to siRn up for par
ticipation In the circus, ac
cording to Herb Leonnig,
chairman, and Don llanlin,
vice chairman of tills year's
event.
Heading up the program
and staging of the show is
Gary Byington. Jim Grigsby

In Steam Bath
Portland - (I'PD - A man
found dead in a steam bath
here March 6 has been iden
tified as Eino Severus Haap
anen, 72, police said today.
Death was from natural
causes. Police said the iden
tity was made by finger
prints, and that Haapanen was
a former captain of the Port
of New York who moved to
Portland in 1942.
